Ishikawa

Ishikawa Prefecture is located between Fukui and Toyama Prefectures in the Chubu region, facing the Sea of Japan. The area is home to Kenroku-en, one of the three most famous gardens in Japan, Wakura Onsen which dates back over 1,200 years, and many other onsen [hot springs], places of scenic beauty, historic interest, and bountiful nature. With the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen [Bullet Train] in 2015, Kanazawa, the capital of the prefecture, is reached in as short as 2 hours and 30 minutes from Tokyo, making it a popular tourist destination throughout Japan.
