The city of Kurobe is located to the east of Toyama Prefecture, facing the Sea of Japan. Blessed with the bountiful natural water from the Northern Japan Alps, the city generates beautiful scenery and produce. At the upper-middle part of the Kurobe River, is the “Kurobe Gorge”, prominent V-shaped valley, and the “Unazuki Onsen” [hot springs], prominent onsen [hot springs] town in the Hokuriku area. The city is also blessed with the bountiful seafood from Sea of Japan.

Take a look at the sheer beauty of the gorge from the seat on the nostalgic trolley train, a sightseeing train originally built to aid the construction of the Kurobe Dam and be alight at a station deep in the canyon or explore the rugged region on foot to visit the gorge. After a full day of exploring the gorge, soothe in at the relaxing onsen [hot spring] bath at the Unazuki Onsen and recharge by dining the delicious local cuisine. *The "Torokko Electric Railway" of the KUROBE GORGE RAILWAY is under restoration due to the impact of the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake. The operation is suspended from the Nekomata Station for this year.
