Kurobe / 黒部(Toyama)

About Kurobe

The city of Kurobe, located in Toyama’s east, boasts bountiful nature. A prime example of such natural bounty is Kurobe River, one of Japan’s most pristine rivers, which snakes through the city. Kurobe is famous for Kurobe Gorge, one of Japan’s “Three Great Gorges” and “100 Best Unexplored Areas.” Unazuki Hot Springs, known as the hot springs granting beautiful skin, is another of Kurobe’s attractions drawing in crowds from both Japan and abroad. Another attraction of Kurobe City is its proximity to the Sea of Japan, thus enabling visitors to enjoy their fill of fresh seafood.
