Furusato All-Japan Kenjinkai Festival 2026

Furusato All-Japan Kenjinkai Festival takes place in Nagoya City, Aichi, bringing together local food, specialty products, and traditional culture from across the country. In 2026, the event takes place over two days, on Sat, September 5 and Sun, September 6, and attracts many visitors each year.

More than 30 kenjinkai (prefectural associations formed by people with ties to specific regions of Japan) active in the Tokai region will take part. Visitors can enjoy regional dishes, local specialties, and crafts from areas across Japan, from Hokkaido to Okinawa. Even without time to travel around the country, the festival offers a chance to experience the appeal of different regions of Japan over a single weekend.

A cultural experience that feels like traveling across Japan

Japan is a country with distinct histories, cultures, and food traditions in each region. Furusato All-Japan Kenjinkai Festival offers visitors the chance to experience many of these regional characteristics in one place.

At the venue, visitors can find local dishes, regional sake, and specialty products, along with stage performances such as folk performing arts, traditional dances, and wadaiko (Japanese drum) performances. It is a valuable opportunity to encounter regional culture that may not be found in ordinary travel guidebooks.

Tourism promotion booths for different regions also introduce recommended destinations and seasonal highlights, offering ideas for future trips in Japan. For international visitors, the event provides an easy way to discover Japanese culture and the appeal of local regions.
